An effective Guide for Storytellers from the Insights of Carl Jung

Beyond the external forms, there is more in us -- An inner essence. It only reveals itself when you are in present. When you submit to what is called present, the past loses its power. Because it is of no use to you anymore.

Temenos founder Siraj Sirajuddin says “Temenos is a 21st-century healing technology”. He believes that we can’t heal the past by dwelling in it. We do the healing by living fully in the present.

From the wisdom of renowned Psychologist Carl Gustav Jung,

“The meeting of two things in a world is like the contact of two chemical substances; if there’s reaction, both are transformed.”

When two consciousnesses come together, a new something opens up, something ineffable, deep and vast. We call it Container -- A place where everything or everyone has a belonging.

“The world hangs on a thin thread, and that thread is the psyche of man, the psychic non-ego fills our mind with many images. And these images are not some shadows, but the powerful psychic factors.”

The human consciousness is like an eye that gazes to the most distant spaces with or without the awareness. This world is a container that has been built upon that consciousness. So, from ancient times, it is being believed that we are not just persons. We are the midpoints where the world is becoming conscious of itself.

Personal Myth: You can understand life by going backward but it must be lived forwards

There is a greater enigma exist between a person’s outer reality and his authentic consciousness behind each event. To understand a story in a better way, you need to grasp the activities that were responsible for creating that story. Personal Mythology is the ceremony to Introspect(Analysing), Visualize(Seeing) and Articulate(Communicating) the Past - self to make an authentic connection with present and future.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will control your life

and you will call it fate.”

In simple words, what we want is the consciousness of “Change” -- our lives have been changing till now and it will keep changing. We need to reciprocate with the flow. I know the time can be very misleading. In a container, cultivating deep, healthy relationships is never an easy thing to do. But to achieve a supportive, sustaining life, we need to open up and change first.

Clean Slate: Wonderful practice to Reflect and be Clear

“No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless it’s roots down to hell.”

Have you listened to your own inner growing delusions? Has it ever came to your mind, all the buildings you have built till now are nothing but apparitions of the oasis in an endless desert. Sometimes the anxiety, fear, mistrust, misery come to a saturation, where everything seems bewildering. In our language, we call it “Baggage that can drag down any healthy person.” We often feel the urge of escaping from this.

Humans are a type of self - denying species. They would do any absurd thing to avoid facing their own soul. Because, they are terrified of it. That’s why Jung says, accept your fear, welcome it as your own and let the shadow shine. Do not despise but instead, give it a life. Stay true to you, eventually, doors will open. Remember always, when you are Authentic, you are Beautiful!

Personal Vision: An Inner situation/unconsciousness that is waiting to be known

image33-1.jpg

"A man who has never passed through the inferno of his passion has no idea of a true living. When we give up, leave behind, and forget too much, there is always a possibility that the things we neglected will return someday with added dangerous forces.”

There’s a difference between seeing the path and walking on the path. The way you vibrate, you attract something and create a destiny for yourself. The desires and dreams manifest in our lives when we cease ourselves from just walking. We start thinking, evaluating, feeling and resolving. This where we find Vision. An Awareness which is not synthesized. It’s there always.  An unconditional presence, that we acquire, when we search within.

A great Question, Why should we follow it?

“I have frequently seen people become neurotic when they content themselves with inadequate or wrong answers to the questions of life. They seek position, marriage, reputation, the outward success of money, and remain unhappy and neurotic even when they have attained what they were seeking. Such people are usually confined within too narrow a spiritual horizon. Their life has not sufficient content, sufficient meaning. If they are enabled to develop into more spacious personalities, the neurosis generally disappears.”

Sometimes, some changes in life seem unjustified. We keep thinking, why it has to be me? Why am I so unfortunate? These questions keep pondering in our minds and we run around without finding the answer. You know, life is quite a mystery. Even if the moment appears to be painful on the surface, but eventually, you will realize, the pain has created a new vessel, from where something new has been trying to Emerge. And you need to be reminded that time to time.

That is why Jung left behind his legacy of consciousness. That is why this Guide exists. That is why we are there to help.
