It has been a fascinating week – full of reunions, laughs and new friends but also of intense discussions, mind expanding workshops and challenging questions… What to do with it all now? How does one go back to ‘normal’ when the ground has shifted somewhat? There are advantages to attending conferences with a group of colleagues – as there is a built in group who have shared the experience and who are a natural forum for discussions about new learnings and ideas – and how to implement them back in ‘the real world’ in which we spend the majority of our time… However when you come by yourself it is a bit different. You also leave by yourself… and all of those integration conversations, the playing with ideas and how they might be applied tend to take place internally… unless one chooses to reach out to people and continue the multi-person discussions remotely.
What will I do with it all? Think about it, talk about it, play with it, work with it, learn with it and grow with it! And when I need it, Skype, email, LinkedIn, Facebook and others provide the opportunity to tap into the energy of others if and when we choose to use it… Watch your inbox – you may hear from me!
