This two-day course prepares current Scrum Masters for their leadership role in facilitating Agile team, program, and enterprise success in a SAFe®implementation.

The course covers facilitation of cross-team interactions in support of the program execution and relentless improvement. It enhances the Scrum paradigm with an introduction to scalable engineering and DevOps practices; the application of Kanban to facilitate the flow of value; and supporting interactions with architects, product management, and other critical stakeholders in the larger program and enterprise contexts.

Attending the class prepares you to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)

Pre-requisites

Attendees of the SAFe SASM course are strongly suggested to have one of the following certificates: SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).

Annual Renewal

Renewals are from the date of certification.

    • Renewal fee: $100
    • Renewal requirement: 10 continuing education/outreach hours

Professional Development Units (PDUs)

Attendees may be eligible to apply for 16 PDUs toward continuing education requirements with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP or PMI-ACP certifications

Scrum Education Units (SEUs)

Attendees may be eligible to apply SEUs under category C, toward earning or renewing their CSP through Scrum Alliance

Instructor(s)

Bijay has over 20 years' experience in project and program management in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid environments. He has trained, mentored and coached teams and leadership in enterprise transformation. He has also led in software development methodologies and best practices for multiple software delivery teams as manager, facilitator, trainer and coach. He has authored 5 books in software development methodologies, and was awarded the Crosby Medal by the American Society for Quality for his book Design for Trustworthy Software. He has also authored a chapter in Springer Handbook of Automation. He has taught management at California State University, Chico and Concordia University St. Paul. He is a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC4), and also has CSM, PMP, Balanced Scorecard, and Data Science Certifications.
