The birds on the WOD Trail are constantly singing to me. And yes, I sing with them. We are good friends.
They tell me that the people who walk on this trail pay little attention to them. Every one of these birds sings one sad song as we all pass on - "Not Listen to Me!"
Runners and cyclists are lost in their inner world or to their iPods. Walkers are lost in conversations or cell phones. The beauty around them remains ignored.
Sigh! This reminds me of what my 2 year old would cry about if we ignored her "Naht Lishen to meee !"
